App Connection
Some conference rooms and classrooms around the district have been equipped with Kramer VIA Go casting devices. These devices allow many platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) to wirelessly cast their screens through the projector. In some cases, the device will also allow for multiple screens to be viewed at one time. In order to connect to these devices please follow the instructions below.

  • Make sure the Kramer device is turned on. If you are just turning it on it takes a few minutes to boot. Once booted you should see a screen that shows a "Room Name"

  • From the Windows device open the Kramer VIA App

  • Upon opening the App you will be presented with two fields, Room Name and Nickname. If you look up to the screen the Kramer is attached to, you will see a "Room Name". This is usually in the format of an IP Address (e.g. 10.0.203.186). Enter this in the "Room Name" field on your device. In the Nickname field, you can enter anything you wish, typically this is the name of the presenter. Once you have done this, click the "Login" button below them

  • After clicking the Login button, there will be a new box that is asking for a code. The code should be listed on the screen you are connecting to and be 4 digits. Enter it in the code box and click the Login button again

  • You will know you are connected to the system if you see the App change to a much smaller toolbar looking layout with three options (Features, Present, and Participants). To begin presenting click the "Present" button

  • Finally, when your presentation is complete or if you want to allow others to present, you can click the "Stop Presenting" button

Kramer Alternate Connection

In order to connect to a Kramer without the application, please follow the instructions below.

  • Make sure the Kramer device is turned on. If you are just turning it on it takes a few minutes to boot. Once booted you should see a screen that shows a "Room Name"

  • Now, on your computer, open a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc) and type in the "Room Name" displayed on the screen that is being projected to into the URL bar of your browser and click your enter key

  • You should be taken to a web page that looks similar to this one below. You have two options, "Run VIA" or "Install VIA". For this scenario, we will click on "Run VIA". Upon clicking you should notice you have a download beginning

  • Once the download has completed, you will click on it to open the app. If you do not see the download, check your downloads folder

  • Upon clicking on the downloaded file, a window will open to begin install. Once the download has finished, look back up at the screen where you got the original "Room Name" from and enter that in the first box. In the "Nickname" box you can enter your name. Once you have both of those items filled in, click on the "Login" button below them

  • After clicking the Login button, there will be a new box that is asking for a code. The code should be listed on the same screen as the "Room Name" and be 4 digits. Enter it in the code box and click the Login button again

  • The Kramer VIA presenter toolbar should appear. Once you see that you can "X" out of the web browser and start casting from your desktop screen. This is done by simply clicking on the middle button labeled "Present". This toolbar can be minimized or moved, depending on your personal preferences

  • Finally, when your presentation is complete or if you want to allow others to present, you can click the "Stop Presenting" button
