Connecting to User Box

Some schools/sites may choose to use the User Box functionality on the Konica Copiers. This allows users to click print on their computer and the print job is electronically sent to the Konica but is not printed until the user releases the print job on the Konica. This can be very helpful for those that print sensitive documents, because it provides security on who sees the information. The following steps walk users through how to connect to their user box on a Windows device.

Note: Make sure your LTE or DST has already set up your User Box on the Konica before you follow the steps below to connect your laptop to the User Box.

  • Login to the computer you want connected to your user box

  • In the search bar, located at the bottom left of the screen, type "Printers and & Scanners". When you see the setting option appear, click on it

  • This should populate the User Box Information list. Look for the name of the User Box you want to be connected to and then click to highlight it. Once you have highlighted it, you should see a number populate the "User Box Number" box just above the list. Once you verify that it has populated, click the "OK" button at the bottom of the box.

  • The final step is setting your "Output Method". In your "Basic" tab, find the dropdown on the right-hand side that is labeled "Output Method". Click on the dropdown, locate the "Save in User Box" option, select it, and click the "Apply" button one last time.
