Most schools use the Quantum Bell system which controls when bells go off in their building. To alter when bells go off, or turn them off or on, follow these steps.

Accessing the Scheduler
To access your Quantumn Bell Schedule you will need to configure Microsoft Edge on a device that is dedicated to managing the bells.

  • After determining which device you want to manage the bells on, have a user log on who is going to be managing the bells

  • Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser

  • Navigate to settings. Click on Default browser and make sure "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)" is set to allow

  • Next you will need to add the URL for your schools bell system to the "Internet Explorer mode pages".  The URL will follow this convention - http://10.xx.88.10:8080 (xx = your subdomain, if you do not know please check with your LTE/DST)If you need assistance with this step, reach out to your Field Tech or the District AV team

  • Next you will need to install Java (Without installing Java, the login window for the bell system will not appear)

  • Once the correct Java is installed, search the Bell URL in Microsoft Edge and bookmark it for easy access. If the correct Java has been installed then you will see the pop up shown below.

  • Once you click Run you will see the window where you will login (Contact Tech Services if you are unsure what your login is)

  • Once you are logged in, double click the "Schedule" option, which can be found in the left margin of the window. At the top of this window you will see the already built schedule options. Example: 1 is the regular and to view/modify when the bells will ring double click on the 1. In the resulting window you can right click and add another time for the bells to ring etc. If you want to create a schedule as option 4 in your list feel free to double click the 4 and create one.

  • Once you have you schedules built, you can assign them to days by setting the correct number to the correct day

  • Once you have made you changes you will need to save your changes by selecting "file" at the top and clicking "save"

Creating a Holiday Schedule

On the same scheduler window you will see a box labeled holiday schedule. Here you can enter in dates or date ranges of school holidays. Entering these in will pre-set the system to not ring the bells on those days. Keep in mind you will need to right-click in the holiday schedule empty space and you should see three options (Add, Modify, Delete). Once you have changed anything be sure to click apply and then go to file and click save so that your changes stick.
