Overview

Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) is a feature in Microsoft 365 that allows you to reset your password without needing to contact IT support. This guide provides an overview of how you can use SSPR.

How It Works

1. Registration: You need to register for SSPR by providing authentication methods (like your phone number, a personal email address, or a selection of security questions). You can preregister here: https://aka.ms/sspr or you can wait until you receive the registration email around June 1.
2. Reset Process: If you forget your password or get locked out, you can follow prompts to verify your identity using the registered methods.
3. Password Reset: Once verified, you can reset your password and regain access to your account.
