Chrome: Syncing Your Account to Save Bookmarks

If you would like to save your bookmarks so that they are available on any device follow these instructions. Keep in mind that you must have created the bookmarks that you wanted to save while you were already logged into your Chrome browser. If this was not done, then there is not an account for google to tie your saved bookmarks to.

 

Signing into your Google Account

If you have never signed into your D11 google account follow these steps:

  • Open Chrome. If you have never signed in before, you will either be prompted like below, or you will need to click in the upper right corner where there is a blank person.

  • Sign in using your D11 credentials. Be sure to follow the on screen prompts. You may receive a verification, this is normal just click "continue"

  • A pop up will appear indicating that your organization is managing your profile,click "continue"

  • From here you will be prompted to turn on sync. Click "Yes I'm In". You will be signed in and any bookmarks you create will be saved.

 

Turn Sync on for an Already Signed-in Account

To check if sync is on for someone who is already signed into their google account follow these steps:

 

  • Click on their initial or picture in the upper right-hand corner
  • If sync is off, click "turn on sync" and follow the prompts to log into the account like shown above

  • If you see this then you are all synced and good to go
