Software, websites, apps, browser extensions, and other digital resources which includes e-Texts may not be used with students unless approved. Please follow the processes below before any products are used.

Step 1:  IT Review

Things that are checked by the IT Review Team include:

•    Tech Services - System Requirements
•    Network Services - Web Filter
•    App Development - Rostering and Integration
•    ITLS - Student Data Privacy

* Please refer to Board Policy GBEE and talk to your school based LTE with any questions you many have.

Step 2: Instructional Approval

All materials that are used with a captive audience, for example a classroom of students, must be submitted for approval prior to use.

See Achievement Learning & Leadership (ALL); Approval Process for Instructional Materials & Courses Overview

Note the Board Submission Timeline

See Board of Education Policies:

Step 3: Purchasing

Follow the Procurement procedure guidelines: District 11 Technology Guidelines for Hardware Purchases and Software Licenses Reviews/Purchase. After purchase, please submit any digital licensing information to ITLS for archiving.

* Devices purchased with PDF funds are considered personal devices. District 11 does not manage personal devices, including the installation of software.
